"If you live in New York, and have taken a stroll on the Lower East Side, you may have seen various artist types crawling into a basement somewhere on Ludlow Street, navigating our treacherous basement steps with awesome paintings and photography. Yes, we are a home for talented artists, who have been producing and exhibiting art from said underground space with our shared equipment for almost 2 years now. It’s not the damp, the bugs, or the drunken Lower East Side revelers falling into our studio every night that has inspired us to move (actually we have grown to embrace these things). We are actually growing and need more space to accommodate a greater number of talented artists, as well as hosting even more visiting artists, local and abroad.
So we have found a much larger location that is calling our name, which will give us a store front, gallery, and 2 floors of shared artist workspace. We already have the amazing artists and equipment for them to use, but we really need some help to build the space out and make it workable for them.
Your generous donations will help us to create walls where there are none, install concrete floors, sinks, lights and storage. With your help we will also buy a projector and screen to integrate with a sound system, in order to expand our services for film artists.
So that’s it, as we said the location is calling our name, and the contractors are sitting outside eating burritos and whistling at the passing girls, so it’s time to get started. Thanks in advance for your generosity, and if you are ever in NYC, be sure to come and visit us!"
Every dollar goes a long way. So please pledge to give Con Artist Collective Project the chance to host new artists in a new location and get some sweet art pieces by doing so. PLEDGE HERE.
